This training resource is the exact model that we use in our household. We somehow have acquired a number of rescue dogs that feel it is appropriate to run up and down the fence lines barking endlessly at the dogs on the other side of the fence (and we have neighbors on each lot surrounding our property with dogs. In early morning hours or later into the evening, it is just inappropriate to let dogs bark endlessly when people are trying to relax (or sleep).
That’s when we put the collars on and give them a little reminder via vibration or audible signal that the behavior needs to stop. There are three levels of the receiver; an audible sound, a vibration, and then finally a shock (that is adjustable from very mild to a pretty good zap). I did zap myself at full strength just to make sure it was appropriate for my dogs (which I love and want to train, not harm them in any way.
